He died Yes bassist Chris Squire, at age 67 – LaRepública.pe


 The group British progressive rock Ye s announced Sunday the death of their bassist and co-founder, Chris Squire, at age 67, victim of leukemia.

 

 

 “It is with the greatest burden on the heart and an unbearable sadness that we report the passing of our dear friend and co-founder of Yes, Chris Squire,” reads the statement from Facebook of the band.

 

 “Chris died peacefully last night in Phoenix, Arizona, in the arms of his beloved wife Scotty” they wrote down lines.

 

 

 A month ago it was revealed that the rock star was suffering from leukemia and had been used for treatment.

 

 Yes musician he formed with singer Jon Anderson in 1968, and the band became famous after opening for Janis Joplin and sign with major label Atlantic Records.

 

 His albums “The Yes Album” and “Fragile” in 1971, “Close to the Edge” in 1972, “Tales From Topographic Oceans” in 1973, “Relayer” in 1974 and “Going for the One” in 1977 made the Group one of the most legendary progressive rock.

 

 Squire was one of the main composers of the band and the only component that participated in all studio albums. He also released a solo album, “Fish Out of Water” in 1975.
