Oscar 2016: Jacob Tremblay of ‘Room’ and other actors ignored this year – melty.mx

Tomorrow we will see the film industry members meet for the most anticipated event of the year: the Academy Awards. 24 categories in dispute, each of the nominated bands seek take as many prizes as possible. The Revenant, the film by Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, is nominated for 12 categories and is one of the strong contenders in the category ‘Best Picture’. Meanwhile, there are several “new faces and young” as Alicia Vikander and Brie Larson silhouetted to excel in their own categories and could be the year you finally see Leonardo DiCaprio succeed and take her statuette as desired. While many say that “Just being nominated is an honor,” it is obvious that what everyone is looking for victory but, what about the actors who were not nominated? Who were those “ignored” by the Academy deserved at least some recognition? In melty we tell you all about the players who did not receive nomination and probably had to have it.

TREMBLAY BY JACOB ‘ROOM’

Based on the book of the same name, Room is a film that was not surrounded by many expectations but thanks to his touching story, Lenny Abrahamson direction and the extraordinary performance of Brie Larson, managed to stir critics and moviegoers around the world. Nominated for four Academy Awards, it could be one of the tapes that give the surprise and the statuette for ‘Best Picture’ takes, however, one of the essential components that made Room making it, was the little actor Jacob Tremblay nine years who was completely ignored by his role as Jack. With great simplicity and innocence, Canadian actor introduced us to the world of a child who had never gone beyond a small room and much of the tears that surely spilled into theaters were thanks to him. Some say the confusion came because they proposed for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ when actually comes out in almost every scene of the film and must be in the category of ‘Best Actor’. Anyway, the Academy did not recognize your work and Shame.

IDRIS ELBA bY ‘Beasts of no Nation’

in 2015, Netflix proved that it is not only a streaming service because in addition to the production of its many original series, threw himself to make the film called Beasts of no Nation, which tells the story of a group of guerrillas in Africa. Many hoped that the tape obtained a nomination for the Oscar, however it was not. While they received a SAG Award nomination for best actor group, the awards season will not grant any more and this caused confusion among viewers and critics. It was mainly the performance of Idris Elba as one of the commanders that everyone expected will take at least recognition in the category of ‘Best Supporting Actor’ but the Academy did not take into account causing anger of many, especially the controversial situation of racial exclusion in this year’s nominees.

HELEN Mirren for ‘TRUMBO’

Trumbo is a controversial tape, especially when it comes to the Academy it tells the story of a screenwriter who was ignored for years after cross out to be communist in the forties. Bryan Cranston, who stars in the film, was nominated for ‘Best Actor’, however, it was all he got the tape. Y, where Helen Mirren was? The veteran actress has already received four Oscar nominations in his career and many hoped that this year came fifth. While the Golden Globes and SAG itself recognized it and gave their respective nominations, it seems that was not enough for the Academy to notice her. Error?

MICHAEL B. JORDAN FOR ‘CREED’

The reboot of the classic boxing ‘Rocky’ tells the story of Adonis Johnson, the son of Apollo Creed who is trained by Rocky Balboa to become the boxer that his father always wanted to be. The film received only one nomination at the Oscars this year and this was to Sylvester Stallone, who returned to resume his role as Rocky. However the actor 28 years old, Michael B. Jordan, was ignored in the nominations despite being one of the greatest promise Hollywood actors and have been subjected to intense physical transformation to play the role. the exclusion of Michael was another reason why several players are upset with the Academy for its lack of racial diversity has not been well received this year. Why is it that they have not taken into account in any category?

Benicio Del Toro FOR ‘HITMAN’

Starring Emily Blunt, Sicario is a film that touches on cartels and violence in the Mexico-United States border. The film was directed by Denis Villeneuve and this year received three nominations for the Academy Awards in the categories of ‘Best Cinematography’, ‘Best Original Score’ and ‘Best Sound Editing’. However, he did not appear for the acting categories and while some say that Emily Blunt must have been contender for the award for ‘Best Actress’, the real unknown of this film was Benicio Del Toro. The actor, who was nominated for her role in ’21 Grams’ and won the Oscar in 2001 for Traffic, was out of this year’s nominees, leaving aside extraordinary and subtle performance. On the tape, it is one of the most complex and obscure characters and help set the tone necessary to history in general. Why not taken into account? Do you think who deserved a nomination?
