He died in Cuba at age 91 Ramon Castro, the older brother of Fidel and Raul – LaCapital.com.ar

His remains were cremated and, as it was officially announced, will be transferred to Biran, his hometown.

Ramon Castro, brother of Fidel and Raul Cuban leaders , died today and his remains were cremated, the official press said. He was 91.

A statement from the Granma newspaper said that after the cremation his remains will be taken to Biran, his hometown, on an unspecified date.

Ramon Castro, a striking physical resemblance to Fidel, was born on October 14, 1924 in Biran, the town east of the island where the family had a farm.

Known for Cubans as Mongo, Ramon was rancher farmer and used to joke that he was not identical with Fidel, with his beard and large size, but on the contrary, being the largest.

Ramón and Fidel were the second and third sons his older sister Angela-called respectively, of the marriage of Angel Castro, a farmer of Spanish origin, and his wife Lina Ruz, who bore him seven children.
