The South Korean singer Psy, famous for his hit “Gangnam Style” that holds the absolute record of visits in Youtube, presented today in Seoul their first studio album in five years, which claims to have returned to their origins.

Chiljip Psy-da (“Seventh album Psy” in Korean) is the title of the new work, which contains nine songs, of which are the singles “Napal Baji” (meaning “Bell bottoms” ) and “Daddy” (“Dad” in English).

While both issues have electronic rhythms with a touch of rap, the second is more like “Gangnam Style” and appears in the official video artist , 37, dressed as a boy.

On the album cut “ROCKnROLLBABY” in which the rapper will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas participate, exchanging some verses are also included Psy.

So, after the lukewarm reception of his later music as “Gentleman” or “Hangover” -the latter with the American rapper Snoop Dogg-, Psy says it has returned to its origins, when he was an artist with a limited impact on South Korea.

Until now, the last studio album of the singer, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, was “Psyfive” which sold 25,400 copies five years ago.

Psy is considered an idol in his country for having triumphed on the international stage to ensure that “Gangnam Style” is so far the most watched video on Youtube with over 2,460 million views.

The South Korean singer Wednesday will participate in the awards Mnet Asia Music Awards in Hong Kong and offer concerts in Seoul between 24 to December 26
