Film director died Michael Cimino – Milenio.com

Michael Cimino, who won two Oscars in 1978 for the film ‘The Deer Hunter’ (titled in Latin America as ‘The Sniper’) died Saturday at the age of 77 years.

The news was Twitter disclosed by the director of the Cannes Film Festival.

Cimino was born in New York in 1930 and was one of the filmmakers who revolutionized Hollywood in the early 70s the highest point in his career caught up with ‘the Deer Hunter’, starring Robert de Niro, Meryl Streep, Christopher Walken and John Savage.
