Italian actor, in coma after hanging scene – La Voz de Michoacan

Rafael Schumacher, an Italian actor, 27, was involved in a play experimental in which his character is hanged. But something went wrong with the rope and the young artist ended strangled during the performance of ‘Mirages’, held at the Lux Theatre Pisa.

Thanks to the intervention of a graduate viewer in medicine attended the event and alerted emergency crews, Schumacher was immediately taken to hospital, where he is in a coma, as reported by media such as Time and the Independent.

according to the Independent, a box on which Schumacher was going to support as the noose was fitted had been move. It would also wear a harness. One of the actors, shocked, lamented that “the knot must fail” and confirmed that a harness must hold if he fell. “What I can not explain is how such an incident could take place,” said this fellow Italian interpreter.
