The film I Origins , American director Mike Cahill, has won the Award for Best Film of the Festival of Sitges Fantasy Film, as reported by l director of the event Angel Sala. I Origins is a romantic sci-fi drama that intertwines science and mysticism through the investigations carried out by the protagonist, a molecular biology student specializing in the evolution of the human eye.
The movie The Babadook has taken two awards: the Special Jury Prize and the Prize for Best Actress for Essie Davis, who has shared the award with Julianne Moore; while the award for Best Director was awarded to Cub , Jonas Govaerts.
