Supertramp canceled his European tour – ElTiempo.com

Davies, 71, co-founder of the group with Roger Hodgson in 1969, “began an aggressive treatment” to fight “multiple myeloma” cancer in the bone marrow that was recently diagnosed, he said the group said in a statement.

It was the first European tour of the band after five years.

Rick Davies (vocals and piano) is the only founding member still in the band after the departure in 1983 Roger Hodgson, who has a solo career since.

“I was really looking forward to returning to play with the group in Europe and I’m frustrated disappoint all those we supported in large quantities in this tour. Unfortunately for now I need to concentrate all my energy on getting healthy, “stressed the singer of communication.
