Parts stolen from the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia – El Universal (Venezuela)

Spanish authorities are investigating the theft of about thirty pieces of great historical value in the Museum of Fine Arts San Pio V of Valencia, one of the most important in Spain, according to reviewed by the newspaper El Pais. Apparently, criminals entered the place at dawn on Monday, taking advantage of the Museum were doing repair work.

Among the stolen medals, coins, three sculptures Wood School of Ignacio Vergara are XVIII century (a Christ, a foot and a palm with floral motifs), three wooden rosaries and a gun from the early twentieth century useless to shoot.

The Ministry of Culture told the Spanish media the pieces were in the stores and have “great historical value” but not economic.
