The Jewish singer Matisyahu finally acted last night at Rototom Sunsplash. A group of people gathered in front of the main stage, where he hoisted a dozen Palestinian flags, and whistled throughout the concert. Matisyahu ignored and continued with his performance embraced by most of the public who sang the best known of his repertoire songs. He was “happy” for coming to play and proclaimed “peace and peace for everyone”. On day 15 the festival canceled the performance of the singer after a campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel. Numerous agencies and organizations protested, so the festival apologized to the artist and invited him back to participate.
