They will test a theory in situ Nefertiti – El Diario de Yucatan

         


     

CAIRO (EFE) .- The Department of Antiquities of Egypt said yesterday that the British expert Nicolas Reeves visit the country to test his theory that the tomb of Queen Nefertiti found in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamen.

The head of the department, the Damati Mamdouh said the researcher will, at the invitation of Egypt, in the second half of September to present his theory and evidence.

In Luxor, where is the tomb of Tutankhamun, try to check the field theory and the results will be announced at a press conference.

By the time the officer is not to say if the theory of British archaeologist is correct, because for do need that certain studies be done.

Reeves recently published in academic circles that the burial chamber of Nefertiti was behind the walls of Tutankhamen. He said he found a secret door in the house of Pharaoh that could lead to Nefertiti.

Although he has visited several times the tomb, the discovery was made from photographs taken by a Spanish company.
