MEXICO CITY (Process).- The theme is identity, being black, male, homosexual; the situation, growing up in a poor neighborhood of Miami, beset by violence from school, the crack, an addict mother; learning to survive without losing the soul. If in the Light of the moon (Monnlight; E. U., 2016) do not appear white, it is not because of racism, revenge, yes, because in that neighborhood, the back of the resort spectacular (where you grew up, the director Barry Jenkins and playwright Tarrell Alvin McCraney), you see people of white skin.

Jenkins and McCraney lived a few blocks from each other without knowing each other, important data because moonlight is based on communicating vessels that form a single piece.
