UK: Prohibits an ad with a model “sickly … – Daily Mail

| London –

The British regulatory authority advertising ban announced Wednesday an announcement by French luxury group Yves Saint Laurent because the model in it is “ unhealthily thin .”

Black Photo white, with a pitch on the floor and wearing a short black skirt model, was considered “irresponsible” with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA ).

“We believe the model is unhealthily thin at this and conclude that it is irresponsible,” the opinion of the ASA, speaking after a lawsuit when advertising appeared in the magazine Elle.

The decision means that the Ads may not be published in its present form .

In early April, in an offensive against the ravages of anorexia, French MPs voted to ban use models too thin and malnourished, prompting criticism of modeling agencies, which are considered victims of a “stigma” .
