SITGES `WELCOMES THE BRUJA’ – Blasting News

Sitges is already immersed in its 48th edition. For many it is the film festival in capital, the spectacle and the horror genre mixed with B and sometimes smelling popcorn. There are many titles that are released, sometimes juries suffer as hard as seeing forty films in an impossibly condensed time schedule.

And that is the most important event in Europe and Fantasy Film terror and many fans have been waiting months to be in a dark room waiting for fun (although in this case, being embarrassed is also a sought intent). Going public Sitges is the most passionate of all ages from all genres and festivals worldwide. Enjoy a viewing, a piece of rotten meat, lots of blood, lots of laughter and sometimes the odd other psychological trauma.

months ago we announced that Seven David Fincher would be in charge of giving the starting signal. Twenty years ago the tape Fincher was released and recalls the festival as good milestone nineties that today remains. Seven was a revolution of the crime thriller and terror, questioned the audience, he felt challenged to a tape whose viewing, today, remains one of the most disturbing of recent film history .

It seems that Witch Award winning film for best director at the hands of Robert Eggers at the Sundance Film Festival, will be another of those difficult movies to forget for many years to come. Inevitably comes to mind The Blair Witch Project (1999), now converted into cult for many and a milestone in the genus mumblecore (in terms of style, not the content). But make no mistake, only agree that there is a witch and you do not know who or what it is. In fact, in none of the two films, it is a witch itself. Better not advance anything. Terror and ambiguity are two of the best tricks with which they have played in recent years new authors who enter such a complex genre as difficult to launch.
