A fan of Harry Potter. So consider the Mexican Asher Silva, who owns the Guinness record for the largest collection of objects on the series and, at 38 years, has decided to leave his profession to move to manage a museum about the apprentice wizard just to open at home in Colonia del Valle, Mexico City.
The garden was transformed into a small field of Quidditch, a wall simulates the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, while the stairs accessing the private area of the house point the way to the prison of Azkaban. Everything is designed so that when a visitor enters the museum feel “the energizing power of magic.”
The series of books by British author Joanne K. Rowling began publishing in 1997 inspired Silva’s life, to the point of being known by the nickname “Asher Potter”.
Silva, who said he identifies with the character of Albus Dumbledore (the director of the Hogwarts school, Harry was attending), has more than 4,000 objects on the famous saga and ensures that devotes about 16 hours a day to the promotion, expansion and improvement of the museum, with the goal of “people to come to this place and live a magical experience.”
“When I started the collection never thought I would to stop buying clothes, going to the cinema, theater or on vacation because all income would go for buying objects on the saga. So I left the legal profession to which I devoted, “Silva said.

Although the Guinness record was certified that 3,097 pieces in its collection, Silva already exceeded 4,000. It takes 15 years collecting all kinds of related adventures of the magician objects. His life took an unexpected turn when casually came the first book in his hands.

Gradually, Silva was becoming a recognized figure among collectors of the saga. Such is his reputation that can no longer accept more friend requests in your Facebook account and does not have time to answer all mails you receive. In fact, the museum has become a meeting point for Mexicans they love the adventures of Potter and his two inseparable friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. No wonder he found in people who have transformed their appearance to resemble characters in the saga or carrying wands, capes and scarves in some of the houses of Hogwarts.

Inside the museum installed its first physical store Jorge Moreno, who until now sold items Harry Potter online, and also allowed Elena Hernandez open a cafe where you can find some of the concoctions that love Harry and his friends. The butterbeer, Harry defined in the books as the richest drink that has ever had, is a favorite among visitors to the museum, though some prefer to test the effects of the love potion, dragon’s blood or Polyjuice (potion in the saga serves to take on the appearance of another person).
Harry Potter came to occupy a central place in the life of Silva and therefore, this museum is much more than a place where show your collection.
