La Sagrada Familia debut six towers – El Diario de Yucatan

         


     

BARCELONA (AP) .- The imposing Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, designed by Antoni Gaudí, entered the final phase of the construction of six towers that will make it the highest religious building in Europe, above the Cathedral Ulm, Germany.

Introducing the project yesterday, the chief architect Jordi Faulí said the tower of Jesus, the central and highest of the six, will turn the architectural gem that attracts millions of visitors record, once completed the work in 10 years.

“The central tower of 172.5 meters make it the highest cathedral in Europe, because now the higher the Ulm, 162 meters. “
