The vision of Alberto Korda, in a photographic exhibition – The Universe

Women and Revolution, “in that order” were the two things he loved Alberto Diaz Gutierrez, better known as Alberto Korda, and that love captured in pictures full of beauty and delicacy.

Korda, female portrait in Madrid Cerralbo Museum exhibits since last 60 portraits in black and white, many for the first time, where the passion for female beauty discover the author the mythical image of Che Guevara.

That passion, and power be with women, was what, as he confessed, led him to become a photographer. “First and foremost was a portrait painter and learned to use the camera portraying women,” she recalled the curator Ana Berruguete.

The tour discover the most unknown facet of the author. Begins with portraits made amateur Julia Lopez, the second of his three wives, images shown for the first time.

Korda was a Cuban photographer who became famous photograph taken by Che Guevara watching the funeral procession for those killed in the bombing of the ship La Coubre, on March 5, 1960.

The photo exhibition will remain open until 30 August. (I)
