Madrid.- A magnitude 5 quake struck on Monday central and eastern Spain, said the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter the quake was located near the town of Ossa de Montiel, about 170 kilometers south of Madrid, at a depth of about 15 kilometers, according to the National Institute of Seismology, which indicated that the movement had a magnitude of 5.2, Reuters reported.
The quake could be perceived even in Madrid, witnesses said. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
