Birdman flies in the Spirit, not Iñárritu – The Universal

 From minutes before starting the awarding of the Independent Spirit Awards , a premonitory sign of the evening they would in Birdman was sent.
 


 


 In a video sponsored by the organization, is basically parodied the film Alejandro González Iñárritu at the moment an actor, in his dressing room, received the news that began the awards.
 


 


 Over three minutes he was seen walking the halls of a theater arguing with a young and what looked like a producer, winking to the nominees.
 


 


 Fred Armisen (‘Saturday Night Live’) and Kristen Bell (‘Gossip girl’) staged the opening video that served delivery.
 


 


 An hour and a half later, Birdman , about a man who seeks to establish itself as histrionic riding a play, counted three awards: Film, Actor & Photography.
 


 


 Best film was imposed on Boyhood , Selma , Whiplash and Love is Strange , some contenders tonight for the codiciciado Oscar in the same category.
 


 


 The award was received by Alejandro González Iñárritu, director and producer of Birdman .
 


 


 It was given by actress Cate Blanchett , who also directed the film-winning Babel .
 


 


 But González Iñárritu lost in Management at the hands of US Richard Linklater , the director of Boyhood .
 


 


  Putting order
 


 


 The first of the day for Birdman fell to Emmanuel Chivo Lubezki , triumphing in Best Cinematography.
 


 


 “You’re a real pain but one of the greatest directors I’ve worked with,” he said turning to ‘The Black’.
 


 


  Michael Keaton , the Riggan Thomson who played the winged hero in decline, will take home the Best Actor. “This is a bold film. This is a game changer, “noted the organization of the awards, through his Twitter account.
 


 


  Edward Norton who chose the Supporting Actor category, succumbed to JK Simmons Whiplash ; also Emma Stone proved that bitter taste to the favorite not only for this event, but in the Oscar, Patricia Arquette for his work in the film Boyhood .
 


 


  Julianne Moore won Best Actress for Still Alice , as a prestigious psychologist, married and Harvard professor whose life is about to turn 360 degrees when you are diagnosed with Alzheimer principle
 


 


 “We wanted to make a movie that lived for something, not die for it,” said the artist.
 


 


 Best International Film Polish Ida , story set in 1960 about a young novice who, about to become a nun, she discovers that her family was a victim of the Nazis rose. In Best Documentary, scandals generated by the National Security Agency US, shown in Citizenfour took the cake.
 


 


  Some history
 


 


 The Independent Spirit Awards emerged in 1984. There have won the filmmaker Christopher Nolan and actors Steve Buscemi , Christopher Lloyd and Bill Murray , among others.
